Sandeep Lamichhane biography
Sandeep Lamichhane was born on second August 2000 in Syangja, one of the districts of Nepal. His ride to rise in Nepalese cricket has been more than a fairytale. Sandeep was first spotted by then Nepal’s cricket team head coach Pubudu Dassanayake in September 2015. It is believed that Pubudu was on his route to attending a marriage in Dhangadi, while he was requested to observe cricketers in an academy in Chitwan. He then saw Sandeep training in Campachaur in Chitwan and was immediately brought to national team camp. Sandeep has never looked back thereafter. He first made his ranks in age group playing U-19 world cup where he was widely observed and compared to Shane Warne. Then, he got an invitation to play alongside Michael Clarke in Hong Kong where Clarke started to like the youngster.

Former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke was impressed by Sandeep’s dedication and ability to learn cricket. This is why Clarke invited to play in Australia. Clarke is still considered as Sandeep’s godfather.
Later Sandeep was bought by Indian Premier League side Delhi Daredevils. Delhi had another Australian former captain Ricky Ponting as head coach. Sandeep was bought for a base price of Rs 3.2 Million Nepalese rupees, equivalent to $30,000 USD every year.
Sandeep was also selected in Canadian Premier League and Carribean Premier League, making him busy throughout the calendar year in franchise-based cricket.
Sandeep made his One Day International debut alongside his captain Paras Khadka. He went on to take three wickets in Nepal’s historic ODI win against the Netherlands. This was Nepal’s first win in One Day International cricket, marking his name in the history of Nepalese cricket.
Sandeep got to play in Indian Premier League only after Delhi were out of the playoff race, but the little master utilized the opportunity and shined. He claimed five wickets and won a Stylish player award in one of the games for Delhi. He was very economical compared to other Delhi bowlers in the matches he played.

Sipradi is the sole distributor of Tata car in Nepal and they have already endorsed cricketers Aarif Sheikh and Sunil Dhamala earlier.
